I wonder if there was a problem with the Philadelphia mint for this year. There seems to be a lot of die cracks that are fairly similar but very different. Thanks for looking!

Good eyes. Certainly looks like you are finding a lot of over used dies for that date.

Very cool, your 3rd coin is very similar to the one I have listed in COC. Mine is a later die stage than yours.

Yes, I guess 1996 was a tough year over there.

You should contact JC as well to get these listed.

I appreciate it. I actually don't think that any of them meet the criteria. The first one the crack doesn't go over the device and stops just before the rim. The second one is the best shot,But also doesn't go over the device. The third one peters out before the R and doesn't connect with the rim.It also doesn't run over either devices. I really need to find a better picture taking method.

The die crack does not need to go over any of the devices it can go straight through the field.

Must touch or go into the head and then the rim. That second one looks like it would be a good one. Post a close of that one.

Looks like a good Spike Head to me - send JC an email for a listing. Make sure you get him a good close up (closer than this one) where it shows contact with the rim & head - move some lighting around so you don't get the shadows in those areas.

Gotcha, I already have JC saved in the email list. He has already added one of my coins. I'm a very lucky guy. 2 listings in under 6 months of coin hunting!
