Hello everyone still new to forums, my experience has been very educational so thank you everyone!! I bought some 06 nickel sets and in one of them I found a very interesting error! I have already posted it in the error side but I don't have good knowledge of proof sets
. (I'm very new to coin watching) I'm hoping to gain any knowledge, thoughts, ideas, any information would be greatly appreciated. I'm not looking for a value. Only to strike up conversation so I can learn. My apologies soo long.

Well, it's obviously some sort of die flaw, maybe the proof version of Struck Through Grease?

A proof Struck Through Grease, yeah it could be! I don't know much about errors or proofs so and opinion is great. I took it to both local coin dealers and each of them said it's some sort of mint error. I'm super excited about it, I don't really know much about it yet but I'm searching. Is this a good example of something that would be worth sending off for a grade and a value?

Struck Through Grease coins don't typically command much of a premium, if any (unless it's an extreme example). At least not for business strike issues. Not sure about proofs, will let someone else chime in.

Can you get a close(r)-up of the "CA"?

and although a very interesting find I do not think it would be worth
the expense of grading. I would just put it in a 2 x 2 and hang on to it.
