got out and found a 63vrisie , some wheaties , a nice silver plate spoon, and a few other things and this little guy , while detecting the other day , it wasvery windy , 40 mph gust , this baby owl was blown out of its nest , took some picsand call ed local cop . he got a hol;d of an animal rescu lady and we saved it from certain death.

Wow...very good of you to rescue the owl. We've had baby Great Horned in our area.
I may not be a detector guy, but I think I recognize that "thing a ma jig". I dug one up in my back yard, connected to a gas valve. It could be a similar key to a gas line, probably turn of the century. Cheers, Kurt
