Finally Happened, Package Arrived, No Coin.

edweather Pillar of the Community United States 7375 Posts	Posted 06/17/2017 10:19 am Mail carrier arrived yesterday with three packages. I signed, and she went on her way. Within a minute I noticed the small white 4x6 bubble mailer was empty, with the side open. I quickly got in my vehicle, and was fortunate to find the carrier down the road a few minutes later. She was very helpful, couldn't be more apologetic, re-scanned the package as damaged, and she wrote a note on it that the package arrived unsealed, damaged, with no item and initialed it. ebay was helpful with opening a case. The funny part (or not so funny,) was that I didn't know which coin was missing because I ran out of the house so fast. The mail lady helped my fears when she stated that I had signed for the other package, and not that one, whew! It was a $38 coin. Looks like someone pulled apart the seam. RK55 Pillar of the Community United States 2189 Posts	Posted 06/17/2017 9:14 pm I was asked by a buyer once why I use so much tape on my padded mailers....precisely for that reason, if it is going to take a lot of effort to remove something, they will move onto the next item. If it pulled apart that cleanly then it wasn't properly sealed at the manufacturer. (I used to work in quality for Sealed Air Corp where we made padded mailers.)
