I am thinking of putting up some low cost darkside material in the auction section. we are talking a couple of $s per lot value with shipping. the auctions would run for a couple of days to give everyone a chance to see them. Before I get my lazy butt in motion and take pictures etc I thought I would test the waters. If you are interested/Think its a good idea then reply with a yes If you have no interest/Think its a watse of time then reply with a no Thanks for your time

While I don't tend to buy darkside material, I know that we have a number of members who do. There are also members here on a limited budget, so your auctions could help them out. I think it's a good idea. With no fees to pay, what have you got to lose?

Gee ageka, I didn't know you lived so close to Big "D"s place. Do you think you could set me up with his daughter for a lunch date.? I wouldn't want a dinner date as I might end up being the meal. catman

I am afraid doc Van Helsing was there first again But I saw a token on ebay with faces of the count on both sides by a seperate artist I do not think I would take his daughter to lunch http://cgi.ebay.com/Medaille-Bronze...mZ8356347766So I gave the link a lobotomy let's see it is still alive if soľ I recommend a sharp piece of wood to be driven straigt trough Tepes

Lim you should read up on technology A portable battery with converter and a full spectrum light spot is all you need normally over here 220 volt in the US I guess 130 Volt That will give you full daylight instantly simulating the sun at noon

No thank you, not for me. I believe that it would be a very nice thing to do, as there are those who would collect such items. Good Luck on your auctions.

There was a front page article in the Miami Herald today called "Generation Broke." This is the generation of 18-34 year olds that are strapped with credit card and college debt and are forced to lower all their expenses including what they spend for entertainment. And IMO, "generation broke" extends into generation boomer gone busted. How is it that coin collecting in America had one of it's biggest growth periods during the Great Depression? Because pulling "pennies" from the pocket and putting them in coin boards was inexpensive, fun entertainment. People are going to be looking for that again, something fun, entertaining and not too expensive. They can find that in Darkside coins. They can find it in circulated coins and exonumia too. But it's important that people checking into coin collecting know that there are *many* options besides high end high priced "competition" coins. It's equally important they know there are plenty of collectors who have not been dumbed-down into believing Darkside coins or circulated coins or toned coins or just a plain ole MS-60 coins are "ugly" or "un-desirable." It wouldn't surprise me at all if some folks sitting on high priced "competition" coins sold out and crossed to "other side of tracks." I mean really, you can get your competitive rush playing volley ball on the beach for free. And the scenery is better too. Competition is necessary sometimes to acquire what one wants. But when it becomes the end rather than the means, that has to get pretty stale sooner or later. I can't say how well your auction will do--I hope it does very well! In any event, you'll still be doing a great service for Darkside collecting by letting others see what it has to offer. "I say high, you say low. You say why and I say I don't know, oh no..." Hello Goodbye--Beatles

OK there was enough interest so I have posted a few auctions and will add some more countries over the next couple of days. If anyone has a country request then let me know.
