Okay, I've been looking at these 1974-P and comparing them to coin site scans/pics and other LMC's.
Not always but on quite a few 1974-P I keep seeing this "bumpy neck".
Does Lincoln need a shaving profile or what? Thoughts?

It appears to be a die chip. Let's see what the experts say.

Do we send it to Wexler as another UFO coin?

Dunno

Waitin' on the experts...

Dear Expert(s),

I have a coin pictured here, one of several BU 1974-P Lincoln Memorial Cents I have found with this characteristic "bumpy neck" variety that I would like your opinion on. Can you please take a close look and give me your thoughts.

Thank you,
The Finder

Probably a die issue because it appears to be raised. So it might just be a die chip on that area. No biggie. Save the fantastic finds to present to him I'm sure he is a busy man.

I think it's just part of the design.

ODV-030 was only used for part of 1974, most notable for the wider date and slight revisions to the portrait (like the neck).
