afernbaugh Valued Member United States 263 Posts	Posted 05/22/2008 07:19 am I know that the 79S Proofs have the filled and clear varieties but did the mint-mark anomaly carry over to the business strikes? FHDave New Member United States 48 Posts	Posted 05/23/2008 1:00 pm The "filled" versus "unfilled" description for the 1979-S proof coins (all the US Mint 1979 proof coins from 1979 have the two varieties of mint marks) can be a little misleading. As afernbaugh has discovered there are different amounts of "filled". The following link will take you to a good description of the two mintmark varieties.
