I'm really not sure if there is a place for this on here or not.

I have a coin that has "Stanley Thompson" "1893-1953" on one side.

On the other side it says "Canada's #1 golf resort" "JASPER PARK LODGE" "July 17th, 1925"

I have searched all over the internet to see if I could find one like it- to no avail.

I guess maybe it's not even a "coin" at all -more like a medallion or something I'd imagine.

Any advice on where to find out more about this would be very much appreciated.

I think you meant "exonumic question".

Tokens like this fall into the category of exonumia.

It's not a coin and is obviously associated with golf, so I would say that it is a golf marker issued by that specific resort. It looks like it is probably aluminum and was created sometime after 1953.

If I find anything else, I'll let you know.

Edit: I see that you are located in Jasper, AB. Can you go to the resort and ask? By the way, your area looks like a beautiful place to live!

The only thing I came across was a link for the Stanley Thompson Society. You may try contacting them to see if someone in their association has info on the token.

I would call the resort to see if they had some information.
