ANACS Crossed To PCGS --- 36 Years Later

BadDog Pillar of the Community United States 1375 Posts	Posted 02/14/2018 08:53 am For those of you who wonder about the old ANACS grading compared to current PCGS grading, here's a data point. 1927 Peace dollar graded by ANACS in it's early days - 10/26/1981 and just crossed to PCGS - 2/14/2018 (don't even have the coin back yet, but the cert is on PCGS website) I'll save everyone the trouble of looking up the PCGS grade. Well the photo was a Peace dollar, then I uploaded another photo and turned it into a Buffalo nickel (darned file names), and NOW I've changed it back to a Peace dollar Report this Post to the Staff

ANACS in the photo cert days and up to the sale to Amos was doing technical grading per ANA standards.
