Bought this coin today and I can't find it anywhere. Anyone know where it's from and a possible value?

1910 British Trade dollar.

I can't tell whether it's authentic or not as I don't know the series.

What I know is that these are among the most often faked non-US coins, so be careful.

Edit: I found the weight should be 26.95 grams if that helps.

Well crap. I just weighed it and it was 22 grams. I only paid $13 for it, so not much loss I guess.

Yes bummer. Since it almost certainly contains zero silver, you have a $13 loss. Will it stick to a magnet?

It's fake, and a poor one.

Bummer. It would have been a great deal, in fact, too good a deal if it were genuine.

Yes - it looked fake to me right from the original photographs and before I read the follow up weight check. The detail is too flat and irregular. These are very finely made coins when original - here is one from my own collection:

Glad your loss was only $13. I agree it's a fake. Real British Trade dollars are often over $50 when I've seen them, so $13 would be far too cheap for that condition

You can tell your coin looks very dull and gray and flat.
