Grading For A Roll Of 1938-D Buffalo Nickels

matt2442 Valued Member United States 108 Posts	Posted 05/03/2018 9:58 pm I found this roll of 1938-D Buffalo nickels this evening, and would appreciate any feedback on the grade of these examples. I recommend pulling out the best ones and either card them or if their that nice , send them in for grading . just realize to send a 38-D Buff to TPG it should be at least MS-66+ , 67 or 68 . westernsky Pillar of the Community United States 7656 Posts	Posted 05/04/2018 12:00 am Check each coin for varieties: D/S and D/D are the big ones and do command a premium. Original rolls of 38-D Buffs are not near as "common" as they used to be. If it were mine, I'd just roll it back up, put in the safe and then open it again in 30 or 40 years! Nice find! solotime Pillar of the Community United States 2311 Posts	Posted 05/04/2018 07:52 am I recently did a bulk submission of them. They're super common in grades MS-64 to MS-66. Only MS-67 or higher are worth it. The first one looks MS-64 and the second one looks MS-65. Very nice coins Report this Post to the Staff
