You raise an interesting question--which is worth more, a lam with the outermost layer still largely intact or one that has been removed exposing the inner part of the coin. Thanks Spence. If the coin was in better condition I may have thought twice. It was easy to peel I did it with my fingernails. It does have some nice layers it's hrad to see in the pic but the lower vest is actually a deeper already peeled lam!

The 'after' is definitely better on the eyes IMO.  |

I would have given it an acetone bath first. Then you cloud have posted "before and after and after"
Food for thought: I have seen lamination on rolled steel running the full 8 feet of a bar. This bad boy could have a brother or two out there.

Haha, that's awesome what you did! It looks so much nicer now that you removed the Lamination peel off the coin. I like it better peeled than unpeeled. Errers and Varietys.

Did you cut the bottom of the upper peel with an X-acto knife / whatever or did it really peel that cleanly just using your fingernails..? Thanks..
