It is for sure a keeper. It might only be worth a couple bucks to the right person, but it's not a really common find from what I can tell. That said, this type of error is caused by a failure of the die that strikes the coins (cracking under pressure...), so every planchet that was struck with this die at this point in time (and later) will show the same die cracks as yours, if not more later on, until the die is retired and replaced with a new one.
Anyhow, it is a genuine US Mint error.
