Not wear around the ear, just a soft strike. The color defines this as a coin that changed hands, if only briefly.

OhhhLALA! Now you're talking my language...SWEET COIN! Red woodies are tough to find and one of my favorite types of Lincolns. I like them so much I have a personal "wood grain" scale I like to use.

Obverse dies utilized by the mint far too longer than they should have.

Reverse is a knockout!!

Add the pinach' of wood grain....and the lucky owner has a GREAT example of an early Lincoln!!
