to CCF. Yes a coin could have multiple mint marks,we need some good photos to help you. Post some close ups along with obverse and reverse whole coin shots.

But a mintmark punch is making an incuse mark on the die. So the mintmark will always be raised. Not an incuse device. (sunk into the coin) If it is incuse, then it is not a mintmark. Damage happens to coins and leaves these from the are bumped together. But an image would help us see what your are seeing.
