Found in Ecuador, where it apparently was on extended leave, and appears to have actually seen a little "action". Care to grade this beauty?

2000-Sac-$-Beauty!

It's also a bit fascinating how a US coin in another country takes on a whole different "look".

I have heard that these circulate extensively in Ecuador , and they do have a different look when they actually circulate . Pretty cool to actually get one from down there. I would say this one made it all the way down to VF-30 or or so.

So that's where they send all the D mint coins....No wonder they are so hard to get in Ohio !

No wonder the public never warmed up to $ coins...they all head for the border.

Could someone please elaborate on the causes of this?

Simple, they buy them from the US; but I am not sure if they are purchased from the Federal Reserve or a private bank.
