I find that, if I stare at the reverse of Spence's 1870 Half Dime, I can see an "S" materializing below the wreath! Is anyone else experiencing this phenomenon?

I could take and post a close-up of this area.

In the meanwhile, here is my low grade '71-P Half Dime:

Only a couple more days to this thread.

First, here is a close-up of the bottom of the wreath on my 1870 Half Dime. While those heavy scratches show up really nicely, I'm not seeing even a whisper of an S mintmark. Thoughts?

Spence there is only one 1870-S Half Dime. Sorry, but yours is not it.

Well played gentlemen. I fell for that hook, line, and sinker.

There is only one KNOWN 1870-S Half Dime.
