1c 1947ml, Odd Strike-Through Error

SPP-Ottawa Moderator Canada 10468 Posts	Posted 04/15/2020 10:48 pm The cleaning of my desk continues... this one is a bit unusual. At first, seeing the reverse, I thought this was a very weak strike (which is not unusual for the series). But looking closer, the coin is struck pretty fully elsewhere. Weight is normal, thickness is normal (so not a tapered planchet). I figure this thing was struck through something, both sides, maybe not grease, but I am not sure what. It is a decent grade (AU-55 by my estimates). Just one of those cool errors...
