Is This Corrosion? - Coin Community Forum

EgCollector Pillar of the Community Egypt 3470 Posts	Posted 11/04/2008 12:55 pm Hi All, Is this a corrosion? The shows no signs of it but the obverse do! Do I have to remove it from the 2x2, and if so what should I do? Use acetone, only distilled water....?!! Would appreciate any help Thanks Report this Post to the Staff

I would be surprised if that were corrosion because there's little sign elsewhere. More likely it's some kind of dirt or glue. I'd try soaking in acetone overnight--it won't hurt the silver.
