I'm still waiting to get my hands on a full set of the new coins from circulation, so that I can see how well they make up the shield as a puzzle.

Unfortunately I am still waiting for a 5p and a 50p.

Instead I thought I would scan my proof set and have a "virtual" play in photoshop.

I have to say they go together rather well!

Is the two pound coin not included in this "puzzle"?

No, they only changed the lower denominations. I am not sure what they are planning for the £1 for 2009 either as they usually change that design each year.

I just checked The Royal Mint website. Apparently they are repeating the £1 coin design for 2009.
