I'm not an authority of Barbers, but my tired eyes
tells me this is a pretty nice specimen. The
pics are the owners (not mine) He tells me it does
have some cartwheel and luster and it's toning.
The holder is from the 80's. Just wondered if
this coin is better than the grade of MS63 or Spot On?
Appreciate any comments...Thanks!

Obverse pic is slightly out of focus, making it difficult to see the surface details clearly.

I would have thought a higher grade if you would have posted it as a "guess the grade"

Strike is a bit soft as evidenced by the loss of detail on the upper right of the shield (unless the lighting washed out that area.

I feel MS-63 is fair, might be able to squeeze in a +.
Rest in Peace

i think the missing luster across the highest points on both sides along with a little less than a full strike will hold this one to MS63

62/63 for me. The weakness on the reverse is a little distracting.

I was good to go at $350 at the live auction.
That would put me right at full blown PCGS Guide.
WOW....I was wrong! This coin kept going and going
until it finalized at $510.00 which would put this
coin at a 64+ Range Nice enough coin but sometimes
live auctions (just throw out the book) can be
a head slapper

Maybe just maybe the OGH had a draw on this one?
I like the old holders myself but just couldn't
see this coin capturing that kind of purse.
Good Thing...money not spent here allowed me to spend
on other goodies within my tight wad budget...lol!
