Coin look real nice, it just gov packaging just smash up.

I would contact the Mint and see if they can send you just the packaging. Even if you get it graded, having the OGP in good condition may appeal to a buyer if you decide to sell in the future.

I am new at sending coins to be graded. To get early release or first strike designation, is the date post marked on the box or the date it arrives at the grading company what they use for the cutoff?
Thanks

The gold was available this morning, I think starting about 8:31. I say about because I got rate limited for hitting F5. It wouldn't let me back in, so I eventually took my phone off wifi and logged in at 8:43. The gold was available, but I got another error and then it was no longer available.

I got the medal today, and the capsule was open? Has this happened with anyone?

@coinfinder5,

I saw a YouTube video from international stacker where this happened to him. Unfortunate but hopefully no damage done...

No, but these mint capsules are always a little loose, that is there is always some give when squeeze them. I would not be surprised if they worked themselves open on a longer, bumpier journey.

Yesterday I got my Silver Eagle, checked it real close and it looked like it had a mark on the reverse in the field just to the right of the eagle. At close look it looked like the mark you would get from the reeding of another coin just barely hitting it. MAN I was bummed. I knew I couldn't return it since all they would do is refund me. I had intended to send it to PCGS, but now, what would be the point. This morning getting the Mayflower coins & medals went so well I decided to give it a closer look. I pried open the air-tight and low and behold the marks were on the air-tight - the coin looks perfect! WOO HOO!
