They had an excellent program called "Secrets of the U.S. Mint". VERY informative show. They take you inside the mint and show you the complete process of minting coins, including Silver, Gold & Platinum Proofs. They also touched on errors and counterfiets and novelties. Looking ahead, it looks like it is going to replay 2/18 @ 3:00 and 2/21 @ 4:00 (EST). I would advise everyone from newbies to the most knowledged watch/record this program (if you can) as it is the absolute best program on coins that I have ever seen. Report this Post to the Staff

I couldnt believe that this was filmed in 2001 yet I have never seen it on the Travel Channel which I watch semi-regularly. I thought it was very fascinating, especially the part about the counterfeit $20 high relief gold pieces- the copies were actually microscopically signed with the greek letter omega.
