I am new to coin roll hunting and was curious as to how others sort their coins. I plan on sorting 50,000 on the first batch. Would you recommend using coin tubes or plastic bins? Any other suggestions are greatly appreciated! Thank you
depends a lot on HOW you intend to do it, what's your system, and how you will turn the coins in when you are done.
if you are looking for errors or varieties, then you'd want to sort by date and mintmark maybe. Others may be just looking for silver in which case they may open a roll, check the edges, then stick them back in a roll.
if you have a bank with a coin machine, you might want to go with a bin and strong bag and dump them all loose to return to there.
there's a lot of factors, depends on if it's all one denomination or mixed, if it's a bucket or they start in rolls. depends on what you are looking for also.
