Commems Collection Classic: 1935 Connecticut Tercentenary - Commission Bulletins

In 1934 and 1935, the Connecticut Tercentenary Commission issued a series of Bulletins that provided updates to the activities of the Commission, including the developing details of planned celebrations across the state and the latest available information on its various souvenir items. In addition to the commemorative half dollar, souvenirs of the Connecticut Tercentenary included an official medal, four different commemorative dinner plates (available in red or black!), special postcards, historical pamphlets/booklets, a special "license" plate for cars and a commemorative stamp issued by the Post Office.

The commemorative half-dollar, authorized by Congress in June 1934 for the 1935 Tercentenary, was a topic covered in several of the Bulletins. I thought it might be of interest to some here to have the chance to read these "official" communications about the coin as presented by the Commission while they were in the midst of the anniversary celebrations.
