I saw the roll hunting forum suggestion was a no go but though I'd ask.

What about a forum that addresses coins and bullion purchased as an investment? Maybe under the General Numismatic Discussion banner?

I am a collector and have given no thought to the resale value of my coins or the possibility of a future return on them.

Anybody think a separate forum would get enough traffic to warrant the effort?

No, although bullion for investment would be included.

I was thinking more of a catch-all forum for the "Is my coin/gold/silver/whatever going to be a good investment with a return or should I look at something else?" type.

Everything from Obama Inaguration coin sets to AGE's and beyond with the idea of making money when the item is sold. The closest forums I can think of as far as format would be the CCF and Collectors-Society "Grade This Coin" Forums. It removes the "search for vindication" and "I was robbed" threads from the regular coin forums yet still provides a venue for discussion.

Does that make sense?
