I have this 1881 H, very new to Vickies. I can see its a triple N, however is it double die 1 or 2? Also the H mint mark has something going on as well. Variety, grade and a possible value would be much appreciated, as I will sell.

The 1881's are known for all the vaieties that are there. The Mint was using 1876 Obv dies and repunching the N's to make them full-serif N's (the '76's had the right foot of the left serifs missing on all the dies. Then there was lots of hub-doubling, as well as individually repunches. Some of the doublings are very involved and offset nicely. I think yours in MD (mechanical or Machine Doubling). It's very hard to find an 1881 without any repunched letters. Wear-wise F-15 to VF-20 with old cleaning and some corrosion settling in.
