If you look at the "THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" it looks to be double printed or something like that.(Not sure still new) I've looked closely to see if someone maybe wrote over it with a pen to make it look like this, but it's not bleed through the back of the bill. So, is it an error? If so, what would it be called? Report this Post to the Staff

Sort of looks like a slight over-inking and maybe blotting? I don't know that there is a premium or really a market for it, but it is somewhat interesting. I guess I'd look a bit more under high magnification to see if I could figure out what was going on there. Its only a dollar, so certainly not a big investment to keep it.
