hokiefan_82 Pillar of the Community United States 3671 Posts	Posted 07/11/2021 7:25 pm For the 1970 cent and 1969 dime without a mint mark, those were minted in Philadelphia. The "P" mint marks didn't appear on circulating coins until much later (besides the '42-'45 wartime nickels) - 1979 for the SBA dollar, 1980 for all other coins besides Lincoln cents (the Philadelphia mint did use a P mintmark on the 2017 Lincoln cents, however). Would need pics of the obverse and reverse to see what you're talking about on the '70-D cent. Member of SPMC, FCCB, ANA and ANS. (which I am not a fan of) no mint marks were on those other coins because they are from Philadelphia mint. Report this Post to the Staff
