I have a 1970 D penny sounds like it might be over polished.
Also a 1970 penny with no mint on it
And a 1969 dime with no mint on it
I just have a few questions. Can anyone help.
Thanks

For the 1970 cent and 1969 dime without a mint mark, those were minted in Philadelphia. The "P" mint marks didn't appear on circulating coins until much later (besides the '42-'45 wartime nickels) - 1979 for the SBA dollar, 1980 for all other coins besides Lincoln cents (the Philadelphia mint did use a P mintmark on the 2017 Lincoln cents, however).

Would need pics of the obverse and reverse to see what you're talking about on the '70-D cent.

@bri, first welcome to CCF. Second, pls post pics of your coins so that we can help you. Best practice is to start a new thread for each coin. Thx.

I have not heard of a polished coin "sounding" over polished.
Must be referring to the drop test. (which I am not a fan of)
no mint marks were on those other coins because they are from Philadelphia mint.
