I would say India rather than Nepal, because of the Hindu iconography, but can't say more than that.

Indian silver bullion round. 9.67 grams is an odd weight for a silver bullion piece - it's not a round number in the metric (grams), troy ounce or traditional Indian (tola) system of measurements.

All kinds of these privately-minted bullion items are coming out of India, many with religious designs. I suspect they serve a double purpose, as both a store of wealth and as "temple tokens" that can be used in Hindu household rituals.

Such tokens were used as presentation at some merchant outlets in connection with their anniversaries or celebrations.
