Time for another Friday night US commemorative coin quiz. (With a small prize!)

QUESTION: Who was responsible for authorizing the removal of "In Memory of Warren G. Harding" from the 1925 Stone Mountain Memorial half dollar?

Send me a PM with your answer.

As with last week, I'll put the names of those who respond with the correct answer between now and 6 PM (Pacific) on Saturday in a "hat" and select a winner at random (using MS-Excel).

The prize: (It's the same as last week, as there wasn't a winner last week .)

Time for the answer to my US commemorative coin Friday Night Quiz:

President Calvin Coolidge authorized the removal of "In Memory of Warren G. Harding" from the 1925 Stone Mountain Memorial half dollar. He gave his approval for its removal after being consulted by the Commission on Fine Arts (CFA).

You can read more about it here:

- 1925 Stone Mountain Memorial - President Harding Removed

Thanks to all who sent in a response, and congratulations to the three CCF'ers who submitted the correct answer. I assigned each member a number in the order in which their correct answer was received (i.e., 1-2-3) and generated a random number in MS-Excel to select the winner.

A PM has been sent to the winner.
