I am looking for South Dakota nationals. Any ideas where to look other than ebay? There are no coin shops in Rapid City that have notes. Thanks for the help, trapper951

I'm mainly a collector of Illinois nationals, but I also like South Dakota a lot too. As of now I have 3 nationals from SD, all large size, from Oldham, Mitchell and Gregory. The Clark County National Bank of Clark, SD is on the top of my list for SD nationals. I'd also like a large size note from Rapid City. As far as finding SD nationals, the major auction houses are a major source. There's also a PCDA dealer in Devils Lake, ND. I'm guessing he probably has a good supply of SD nationals.

Any chance of posting a picture of one of these notes?

Do all the 50 states have printed notes?

Banks in all 50 states issued national banknotes, including Alaska and Hawaii, in addition to Puerto Rico. Alaska and Hawaii banks issued the only small-size territorial notes. Unfortunately, notes from Alaska and Puerto Rico and territorial issues in general are completely out of the range of all but the wealthiest collectors. Notes from Nevada, Arizona and Wyoming are also extremely expensive. Common notes from big-city banks in Philadelphia, New York, etc. can be had for less than $100. Pennsylvania had the highest number of note-issuing banks. Notes from relatively rare Pennsylvania banks can be had for less than $500. If you want to buy a note from a small-town Illinois bank with about 15-20 large-size notes reported, be prepared to spend more than $300 for a note in fine condition. If there are any other collectors of national banknotes on here, I'd certainly be interested in chatting with them.
