Not sure if they are PVC. I know they are cheap but I haven't seen any equivalent of a quality brand out there.
I've tried using a 3 ring binder with sleeves but it didn't work out great. Maybe I need a different binder. Any suggestions on safe storage for my random carded coins?

If the albums don't say "PVC free" or "archival", I would be inclined not to trust them. Storage is not the place to try to save money. One ruined coin would pay for a lot of quality albums.

I figured this but I'm looking for a similar type that is archival quality.

By "carded coins" do you mean coins in flips? Lighthouse makes great 3- and 4-ring binders and you can get very nice, safe pages that go into them from a company called Vario. Not sure that meets your definitino of "archival" but it's a thought.

I'm in the same boat. The listing says they are PVC free. I don't want to use flips for my non-US coins and these pages can accommodate 30 coins without flips. I wanted to make sure these would be OK. Would long time coin collectors wanting pages for non-flipped coins be OK buying this brand, or would they stay clear? I really don't want to card 100s of cheap coins and only have 20 coins to a page when I could get 30 uncarded coins on these.

PVC without plasticizer is a hard, rigid plastic.

PVC with plasticizer is softer and that is the one that damages coins.

As a long time member of the sister Stamp Community Forum, I have joined this forum due to it's familiarity in format, and am bumping this older topic.

I have recently gone back to my binders holding 2x2 coin flips from 25-30 years ago and noticed that a lot of the staples have turned rusty. Removing the flips and then the coins has me finding that the coins appear to have a sticky feel. So obviously the pages and flips from 25 years ago are made from the toxic PVC to cause this.

As I am dealing with circulated coins from numerous countries I decided that these Uncle Paul coin pages with space up to 42 coins per page really meet my need. However, they are identified as "Safe Material - Made of dust proof and non-toxic PVC. ... Suitable for coins, tokens, ...". Since I cannot find any similar style pages from other manufacturers, how realistic is the "safe for coins" info?
