While browsing this forum, I happened across members' posts about Henning Nickels. I have coins I saved before I acquired a microscope
and began searching those for Hennings. None found. 'But', I did find what I'm sure is a 1954 S over D. I am unable to post w/higher magnification, but my microscope, a Leica Stereo Zoom 4, shows the D under the bottom left of the S pretty well.

The D protrudes pretty far underneath the S.

Not sure about the one you posted. To me, it looks like some Machine Doubling or a circulation hit.

Maybe this is S over S?

I understand your comments. I will try to mount my 'plugable digital microscope' over the eyepiece of my Leica and see if I can get better magnification.

I don't feel that's necessary

I'm leaning more towards a circ. hit rather than MD since no devices around this area has been affected.
