Looks-Like-A-German-Zodiac-Fpiece

This item looks like to was proof finish on the obverse. It has the ring of silver for what it's worth. It measures 35.3 mm by 2.0 mm thick and weighs 15.01 grams.

Any thoughts on this one? Thanks in advance

Hmm that is weird. The German word and central design make me wonder if it is a modern day shooting medal. The big empty space on the rev looks like it could have held a glued-on disc (e.g. with the winner's name). Another wild guess--from a recent Renaissance Fair?
