Hey all,

So, if I go through my collection's 2x2's I see a lot of silver coins marked with a year and 'CS' for Coinstar. I've noticed that since 2019 my finds have not just dropped a little, they've dropped precipitously. I have actually not found one silver coin in a Coinstar since 2019 and I check every time I go into several different locations. I live in the SF Bay Area, so coin-roll hunting for silver has always been a bit dry, but the Coinstar's were still paying out until 5 years ago.

What happened?

For me in the UK, Coinstar finds in general fell during and after COVID when the use of cash suffered a dramatic decline.

I haven't seen anything in, on or around the Coinstar machines I pass by for quite some time.

I got lucky a couple of times, but it seems now everyone who passes by a coinstar, checks the tray.
The odds of finding anything at all, even weird foreign pieces, have dropped precipitously.
