I'm not being helpful here, but I have my doubts its the same coin. I'm seeing some surficial metal differences, like the location of minor dings and hits. Happy you received the refund.

It is, it's hard to see in my pic but when I look at it with a loupe and angle it just right you can see the marks. There is what looks like a water drop mark on the reverse in the upper right just past the E in One that is there on both as well as the marks below the AM in America that is on both. The obverse you can faintly see the dark marks on the bottom on the original pic. Funny with different lighting it doesn't look that bad, but luckily when I opened it was with direct lighting from a window that really highlighted the imperfections.

Wow, seller manipulated the lighting quite well! One of many reasons I hate buying coins from pictures.

The E. PLU on this coin is large with the first dot elongated I would check for a DDR if you are into verity's.

Try copper coins . Com I'm unable to send a link right now. But if someone else can't help with a link I'll send one later tonight when I'm home.

Thanks, I've ordered from him before, got a bunch of the Large Date and Small Date Lincoln Memorials from him including the whole set of 74's and proofs that are usually not shown in albums. His wheat cents are limited but I've been looking at his 52-58 ones, there's just not too many before that.

I don't have a scope but it looks very similar to the 1942P-1DR-002 CLASS 4 (MDS)

I could easily see the die marker between the 4 and 3 and the mark above the S and T in Trust. I think I could see the ones on the One on the reverse. Other ones were hard to see with just a loupe.

this seller knew exactly what they were doing. I have no idea how they altered the photo that much, but now after seeing the in hand coin and comparing it to the original photo you can see those black marks very easily especially along the bottom of the bust.

Wow.....your photos and the posted seller photos don't even match up at all. Did the seller have positive feedback like 99+? At least you got a refund.

He had a 99.8 positive feedback with 4 negative mostly about lost shipment, 5 neutral mostly about shipping again and 3 revised feedback. Nothing that sent any red flags up.

He had some other items I would have been interested in but used this piece as a test buy, but it failed. Won't even consider buying anything from him now.
