The very same. We also hit Santa's village in Jefferson. I tried to stop at the coin shop in Conway, but it was closed.

We're not like Canada Geese in this contest. We don't partner for life.

Interesting...I never knew this about Canadian geese.

snowman: I'm glad that I was able to enrich your life and expand your knowledge base with this tidbit of nearly useless trivia. (Haven't you ever noticed that some of them have little gold bands on their 4th, webbed toes?)

And then we went to Olive Garden, which was lovely.

You up for $30 on lot #1?

(I didn't ditch you, I thought you had ditched ME! But this game is for all Forum players! So c'mon and Play!))

It is now officially time for me to become shameless in my efforts to stir the pot and drum up support for this contest.

To recap, MY JOB is to contribute the two groups of coins pictured back at the beginning of the thread, decipher who's leading, make failed attempts at levity and provide invaluable information about Canadian Geese.

YOUR JOB is to bid more than the coins are worth either because you get caught up in the frenzy or you realize that it is for a good cause! Either way, you have the EASY job!!

To date, Moe145 has done the best job of this but, ironically, he is not in the lead because nobody has stepped up to the plate to match his $30.00 bid.

Right now, Metalman and xshift are in the lead at $29.00 each. Somebody needs to say "I match Moe and bid $30.00 on lot 1"...OR...make it even more intriguing by bidding an even higher amount on whichever lot you'd prefer. You don't have to match whoever's highest, you know. You can leap-frog right over him/her if you'd like.

Don't make me break out the dreaded stick of guilt!

Do your job!

Update!

Moe145 and (new blood!) IHP08S are in the lead at $30.00 each. There are no other higher unmatched bids so, at this point, the Forum stands to gain $60.00!

I'm taking a long road trip today with my wife, daughter and mother-in-law (pray for my sanity, please! ) and I probably won't be in front of a computer when the contest ends at midnight (EST) tonight, so winners will probably not be announced until about this time tomorrow.

One quick question... Do you have to pay for the coins you bid on?

Sorry for sounding cheap, but I'm short on cash.
