American Numismatic Society - Alex Krapf (ANS Fellow and Vice President) delves into the career of Laura Gardin Fraser. This trailblazer designed some of the most prestigious American medals, and her monumental sculpture still generates headlines almost sixty years after her death.

A great article and hopefully she will finally get the recognition she deserves. The women quarters is a good start.
