Drachma Coin Not Silver?

I have a couple of Drachma coins in my collection, one of which is a 2 Drachma coin from 1978. I was searching the net to be 100% sure of identification and the only 2-drachma coins I can find reference of are silver, but mine is not silver. I'm not sure of the materials that make it up, but it is the same colour as a new English pound coin. Is there any reason for this or have I been searching incorrectly?

There was a circulation 2 drachmai in 1978. Struck in Nickel-brass, KM#117 (1976-78-80)

Greek freedom fighter Georgios Karaiskais is to be found as 2 drachmai for the years 1976, 1978, and 1980 as KM 117, and 1982, 1984 and 1986 as km 130. KM means catalogue of Krause mishler.There exists 2 drachmai 1986 in aluminium, patternstrike worth round and about 1500$.
