I have come across a very good deal on 150 Morgan silver dollars and 100 Peace dollars. Probably 30-40 of them are in AU to BU condition. I plan on keeping those coins but will likely want to sell the rest for melt. How or where can I get the best price for these melt coins? The coin shops in my area are only wanting to pay $28 or so per coin. This seems a little low. I appreciate any help you guys can provide! Thanks in advance.

You can try the Internet bullion dealers like APMEX, call around for the best deals for yourself if you don't want to sell singularly on ebay. But on ebay Morgans/Peace Dollars go for pretty good prices for some reason even after fees.

Maybe forums like this may be good? But there's also the risk that some buyers may claim that things "magically disappear".

I think your best bet is selling on the CCF selling section, as Hondo Boguss linked. You don't have to deal with fees, so it's a win win situation.

It would be hard to get them for melt. Just the nature of the current market. Junk silver is selling for Spot -2 from a few large resellers. You can def do better than $28 per but at melt might be harder to get. I think my local guy is at like $32 which is fair.
