Anybody have any ideas what exactly this is? It is 1 cm in diameter and appears to be a copy of an 1878 Morgan dollar, but this one is gold.

I would assume it to be a "gold miniature". Usually made in Mexico, they were all the rage back in the 1970s and 1980s. Often made of 8k gold.
