I've always had an interest in larger, older medals. It's pretty simple, if it's big and old, I love it! I believe this medal was created to appreciate Giuseppe in his role in unifying Italy, but there is not much info available online. I got it about a year ago for $30 from my work! Let me know what you think of it!

The weight is 80 grams and the diameter is 2 inches (50.8 mm).

I learned that the Deliverance of Sicily was an Allied invasion and conquest of the island during WWII, codenamed Operation Husky. This led to the downfall of Italian dictator Benito Mussolini.
