I hope you all dont mind that I will be sharing my small collection of silver coins and would appreciate your take or opinions. This one here is my 1964 D Silver Quarter. What would you grade it?

Looks like it could be in MS condition. Although we need less lighting on the coin to grade it accurately. As far as getting it slabbed by a TPG, it's not worth it. It would cost more to slab it than what the coin is worth.

Seems to be a very nice coin but hard to tell the exact condition from the pictures.

Agree MS grade, but looks like camera over exposure. I normally don't slab coins unless they exceed $200 due to the cost of grading. Welcome to the community.

to the CCF Can't grade it well from those photos, they are way overexposed. Likely MS-something. Grading fees will be more than the coin is worth.

you photos are insufficient for assessment as there is too much light glare to see the surfaces or any flaws. it would have grade a minimum of MS66 to be worth grading. I suggest one of two options. one, place it in an airtite holder to protect it or two, take new photos eliminating any overhead lighting and glare so we can see the coin surfaces
since you are new here
there are only 2 reasons to grade a coin
1. its a rare coin that needs authenticated and preserved 2. you are planning on selling the coin and the cost of acquisition plus the grading fee's would warrant it without chewing up all your profit
PCGS charges a minimum of $69 for a subscription other subscription levels include grading vouchers though so you could reduce these costs. add to the subscription cost, per coin grading cost which is a minimum of $23, shipping & ins both ways (1-4 coins is $27 if the total value is under $1000)
NGC - economy grading tier is $22, plus $10 handling fee, plus $28 for shipping (1-5 coins) and insurance both ways.
ANACS - Economy - No Gold: $18 per item for items valued up to $500. plus $29 for shipping (1-4 coins) and insurance both ways.
CAC - $99 subscription ($50 grading credit), economy grading $15, gold $28, $40 shipping/handling/ins

Maybe a 63 - and recent sales on ebay for a NGC-graded 63 are $15. There are very few reasons to grade a coin, this common date quarter is not one IMO.
