Unfortunately, my PC has been acting up this week so I missed part 1 with the wheat cents.I hope it went well.

I was out of the country for a while so mostly out of touch. But now back and can comment. The wheat cents, broadly, split into three categories. The early wheat straight coins did somewhat poorly with some really good deals for the buyers. The later date straight coins did very well with even MS66 coins going well above expectations. The varieties did as they always do with some killing it and some going cheap. You just can't predict which coins will be in demand at any given moment. But overall the varieties mostly did well with a few going really high and a few going for well below their value. End result was the total sale came in around what I expected.
The moderns sold very well with the same variability on the variety coins. A number of them set auction records while some just never got any traction at all and went quite low. The straight coins consistently beat expectations, which is great since there were a ton of non-variety fairly low value coins in that auction. But an extra $10 or $15 per coin across 250 coins adds up. Overall the moderns far exceeded expectations.

At the end of the day the auction brought in enough to fully fund the endowment for the scholarship! That was the goal and it was met, so I am really, really pleased with the results. All the legal paperwork is already signed for the scholarship so it will be funded as soon as I get the sale proceeds. Penn State tells me that this will be early enough for the first scholarship to be awarded this fall.

I was really surprised any sold below $30-$40, since that is about what it would cost to have them slabbed.

I was able to participate in the last one and was very pleased and surprised with some of my winners. I'm patiently(?) waiting for them to arrive so I can enjoy them in person.
It's good to know the endowment can start as early as this fall. They will be some fortunate students.
