I got this 1972D in change and saw there was an extra line on it. It is inside the D in DOLLAR on the reverse. What is this? Thanks

I wish I could help you, but all I'm going to say is that you certainly are living up to your name. You find errors on coins that I would never notice. Like...never.

I don't think it's a die gouge, possibly a strike thru.
