Please advise what grade is this 1997- D 1C and whether I should have it graded?

Thanks.

PCGS MS67 examples are selling on ebay for $20.00 to $25.00. It'll cost you 3 or 4 times that to have your Lincoln Cent graded

MS-63/64 RD

Professionally grading memorial cents is tricky business and not for amateurs unless you like throwing money away. lol

For reference, it takes a coin at least this nice to get a high enough grade to make it economical. I have not bothered to slab mine and it's a bit nicer than yours.

I'll say MS-64. Not worth grading.

since it appears you are fairly new to the world of coins, I'm listing the costs of grading a coin as most individuals have no clue what it costs today

PCGS charges a minimum of $69 for a subscription other subscription levels include grading vouchers though so you could reduce these costs. add to the subscription cost, per coin grading cost which is a minimum of $23, shipping & ins both ways (1-4 coins is $27 if the total value is under $1000). Gold $149 includes 4 vouchers so if you had 4 coins it would come out to about $44/coin.

NGC - economy grading tier is $22, plus $10 handling fee, plus $28 for shipping (1-5 coins) and insurance both ways.

ANACS - Economy - No Gold: $18 per item for items valued up to $500. plus $29 for shipping (1-4 coins) and insurance both ways.

CAC - $99 subscription ($50 grading credit), economy grading $15, gold $28, $40 shipping/handling/ins

a coin should be at minimum $150 to even considering grading a coin. hope this helps in the future.

I'm at MS64. Is that a die crack coming off the the T in CENT--extending into the memorial's base?
