Circulated , probably in an old sulphur based paper holder .
Sort of neat for a Peace dollar !
Do doubt that a TPG would qualify the coin for market
acceptability as to the toning .
That said I like it !

I agree with XF40. Definite wear both sides. Color is unusually intense for a circulated Peace dollar but could be natural from storage conditions as noted by Pacificoin.

Peace dollar grading is a different animal. I'm not a fan of the toning
no doubt in my mind that the reverse was weakly struck when comparing the periphery to the center of the coin. a TPG would reduce the grade a tad for strike and maybe eye appeal as well.

Hardest series to grade. I had a friend that just called them all "XF'S" and was done with it.

61 would not surprise me at all.
