some kind of gunk on the reverse--been soaking in acetone for 3 hours now--no change--any ideas--thanks--

I think this one is beyond saving. It looks like whatever stained it ate away at the surfaces.

Likely beyond help. Looks something like thin splotches of 'impervious' gunk. Is there a difference in the texture of the 'coated' surface vs. unaffected surface--rough vs. smooth?

the texture is rough--soaked in acetone for 8 hrs--no change--forget about it--
