I went to you link but wasn't having any success searching for it. Edit: is that also referred to as the Saddle Ridge?Horde? Words of encouragement are one of the major food groups. Coinguy10 New Member United States 5 Posts	Posted 07/13/2026 5:15 pm The San Francisco Hoard (SFH) and the Saddle Ridge Hoard are two different events. If you google: San Francisco Hoard Ike - the search will be better. The SFH is primarily known for the large quantity of blank Eisenhower dollars found in it, including 13 clad experimental upset and 5 40% Silver rinses. There were a small group of proof-like finishes. There are also 12 Jefferson nickel experimental finish blank planchets. The cache was kept in a safety deposit box and Fred Weinberg bought the box from the son of a US mint employee. Some legend has it that they were smuggled out via the oil pans of a forklift during routine maintenance. There's nothing to corroborate that story though.
